A Culinary Classic

The other day, my 15 year old called me at work asking how to turn on the stove. Distraught in my failure to equip my kids to care for themselves, first on my agenda is to teach them the basics of cooking just as soon as I learn. After high school, I was employed as a short order cook where I essentially heated and assembled food. There are lots of cooking shows and the internet is bulging with recipes but what I really wanted was a good tool for learning the basics. Ultimately, my search landed on Chef Todd Mohr’s “Burn Your Recipes DVD Series: The Complete Cooking Collection” where he proclaims “Cooking is NOT about recipes. It’s about learning the fundamentals and then applying that knowledge with your own creativity to ANY recipe”.
What I want is what you might learn in a culinary school which is exactly what I got. The website claims that the value is $247 which is what you’d reasonably expect to pay at a community college. However the introductory price is $97 but when I clicked on the order now button, the offer was reduced to $27 if I elected to download the 3 part series. I've watched 2 of the 3 videos and I couldn’t be more pleased. Honestly, I consider myself a good cook yet I still learned a lot and I know you will too. If you cook and enjoy food, you simply must check out his product offerings. They are packed with great information so much so that you'll need to watch them many times. Sadly, I can’t find the link for the $27 download offer and after further investigation I understand that they intermittently offer the digital download at a discount but highly recommend purchasing the complete 3 part DVD package. Do check it out and you won’t be disappointed!
